## Calculations for determining the right size of the Standard Boosting Cylinder

Standard boosting cylinders are generally designed in order to reduce the workload and enhance the performance of the industrial machines. Our engineers are working day and night in order to develop the best standard boosting cylinders which can handle the overall load of the Industrial machines.

Choosing the right cylinder for a particular machine is very important. If a small cylinder is being used for a heavy machinery then it would not work efficiently. So, here are some of the calculations that need to be kept in mind while deciding the right standard boosting cylinder for a machinery.

In order to choose the right standard boosting cylinder for your machinery, calculating the theoretical force output is the best option but choosing the right size of the cylinder is a complex task. Most of the time the machinery are installed with smaller standard boosting cylinders which do not provide a sufficient amount of energy and can cause a delay in work.

Here are some of the ways through which you can calculate the best size for your machine.

• Calculating the force: Theoretical force output generally referred to as the product of the air pressure and the piston area. It must be noted that once a cylinder is fixed, it cannot be removed, however the pressure can vary but only to some extent. Due to these reasons, it becomes compulsory for the engineers to carefully measure the force and the air pressure. Correct force cannot be determined by just using the formula as there are various real-life events that can lower the performance.
• Internal friction: A cylinder is not able to achieve its theoretical output force due to the internal friction. The said friction is caused in the cylinder due to the wear bands, piston, and load support, etc. In order to overcome the internal friction, it is generally advised to allow ranging 5-10 psi extra input pressure. The amount depends on the size and design of the cylinder.
• The actual operating pressure: The compressor present in the cylinder produces a specific amount of pressure. This pressure can be reduced to a certain level due to the restrictions in the air consumption and the compressed air lines by the devices attached to the network of the air supply. For example, a standard boosting cylinder which runs at the rate of 100 PSI can drop up to 80 PSI during the peak air usage time.
• True load: Unless the standard boosting cylinder is used to lift a load in a vertical direction, the load cannot be determined due to the presence of any external friction. There is additional friction while shifting a load and taking it anywhere else. All these conditions must be analyzed before deciding the type of standard boosting cylinder for the work.

These are some of these factors that should be checked or kept in mind before installing a standard boosting cylinder in a machinery, as the main motive of standard boosting cylinders is to make the work much easier. If all these factors are ignored and the wrong type of cylinder is not used, then the goal and the productivity cannot be achieved.

All such calculations are kept in mind by Kun Shan Youjiaxin Machinery Co. Ltd. as they do not compromise on the quality of the standard boosting cylinder.
